God is Wonderful!

I know, long time no type.  I will explain it later.......very interesting.  I was just thinking about how wonderful God is and I just wanted to share a  couple of thoughts with you about that.  One of the definitions of wonderful is amazing.  Now, think of all the wonderful and amazing things that have happened to you in your life since you met Jesus.  Of course the most wonderful and amazing thing is the fact that once you were dead and now you are alive....spiritually.  You now have access to God and He wants to walk and talk with you just like He did with Adam and Eve.  And the wonderful thing about that is that He wants to do it all day long....not just in the cool of the day.  And in His interactions with us, He was to amaze us with His love for us and His mercy for us and His extreme generosity with us and all the things He has in store for us.  How wonderful is that??!!!  All we have to do is take the time with Him, read His word, and talk to Him in the love language He gave us.  Sounds so simple but honestly, how hard can that be at times?????  How easy is it to not have time to pray, read, etc.?  Too easy!!!  But He still keeps tugging at our hearts anyway and desires us to delight ourselves in Him.  And isn't He so delightful?  Oh yes.  He truly is full of wonder and amazement!!  We all have great stories we could tell about Him and how He always comes through for us and how He is always there when we need Him.  What a comfort that is to our hearts; He is always with us and at any time we can speak to Him and He will speak back.  Those are the couple of things I wanted to share with you.........I love you dearest readers.  You rock.

Yes, dearest reader, that was the case yesterday.  The night before I woke up in the middle of the night with the hot, searing pain of a pinched nerve under my left shoulder blade that also went down a little further on my back.  Have you ever had one of those???  It hurts when you breathe and since we have to breathe to stay alive, I was in extreme pain for the rest of the evening as well as all day yesterday!!!!  I was in my closet in the middle of the night praying in tongues in a loud whisper and quoting a couple of bible verses as well.  Now, I didn't do anything unusual to create a pinched nerve....it basically just happened.  And of course, when that happens that way, you know who is behind it.  Yes, dearest reader, the enemy (liar) throwing a fiery dart at my back.  And it really did feel like fire too!  I tried to sit down to type but that wasn't about to happen because it was worse when I sat down on the chair!!!!!!  So I spent the whole day yesterday walking around, praying in tongues, worshiping God, and thanking Him for His wonderful word that He sent to heal me with.  It was a fight but thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus.  I must say, despite all of the pain and discomfort and the emotions and feelings that wanted their way, I had a most wonderful time with the Holy Spirit.  In the midst of anything, He is there right beside us to help and comfort us.  Now, dearest reader, you might be thinking, with all of that prayer and quoting the word, how come healing didn't manifest right away?  Why didn't the pain leave when you prayed?  My answer for you, dearest reader, is, I have no idea why it didn't disappear right away!  Have you ever had something wrong with you and it didn't heal the moment you prayed?  Of course you have!  We all have at times in our life as a follower of Jesus.  I don't have the answer at the moment why that happens........but that's okay.  All I know is from the moment I prayed I knew that the word was at work in my body and I just stuck to that.  It didn't matter that I didn't get an instant manifestation.....I knew it would happen at some point.  I had addressed all the plans and schemes of the enemy against me at the beginning of the attack and for the rest of the time, I just thanked God that He sent His word and healed me and delivered me from all destruction.  I told Jesus how grateful I was that He took pain and sickness and disease upon Himself on the cross for me so I wouldn't have to have it.  I rejoiced in the fact that God's word is forever settled in heaven and it didn't matter how I felt (which was rather lousy!) or how things looked....His word is the real truth and I wasn't backing off of that fact one bit.  At one point during the day, I sat on a really soft chair and fell asleep for about two hours.......I didn't dream, I just slept.  When I woke up I was so thankful for that since I didn't sleep hardly at all the night before.  It was quite refreshing and I began to worship the most wonderful man in the universe....Jesus.  Later on that day, my husband brought me a package of those icy/hot patch things and I slapped that on.  It brought some relief but the pain was still pretty bad.  Oh, and he also brought me some chocolate......aahhh, enough said!
Around early evening, I noticed the intense pain under the shoulder blade was starting to leave..........and I just kept thanking God for His word that works, if we believe it does.  I believe it does and it doesn't matter how long it takes, I stick to it.  So today, dearest reader, all pain is gone and there is no soreness in the muscles at all.  I had a wonderful time with the Holy Spirit in the midst of yesterday and all of it's pain, and God is gracious and merciful to us.  I have had that happen before in my life and it usually took about three days or so to get over.  All I can say is God rocks.
